Yes, really!  Bring it on!

Tuesday and Wednesday evenings are about to get a whole lot noisier here in West Virginia and we want you to join in the fun.

The Berkeley County Adult and Community Education  program is sponsoring two 4 week sessions that will allow you to jump into our rich Appalachian Old Time traditions with both feet.

Tuesday nights, you’ll find out that you, too, can drum with your feet!  Learn or strengthen the how-to’s of flatfooting at beginner to advanced beginner levels.  We’ll start at 7:15 on 5th March at the Rosemont Elementary School and dance for an hour each week for 4 weeks.  All you need to bring is hard-soled shoes.  Reserve your place by calling Adult Ed at 304-267-3585.  Tell them you want to join the fun for class 416.

Wednesday nights, you can bring your ears and eyes to experience our native tunes and some of the master musicians responsible for passing them down.   Bring an instrument — even if you’ve never played before! — to experience how the tradition is handed down.  We’ll enjoy recorded material as well as live music.  The music starts at 7:15 on 6th March at the Academic Learning Center at 3635 Winchester Avenue.  Tell Adult Ed you want class 417 when you call them at 304-267-3585.
